Job Brief
The Marine Oil Terminal Superintendent oversees the planning, directing, and coordination of transportation, storage, and distribution operations within an oil terminal facility. Responsibilities
- Plan and manage terminal operations to optimize the transportation and storage of oil products.
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations and safety standards related to marine terminal operations.
- Coordinate logistics activities, including scheduling and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems for oil products.
- Oversee staff training and development to enhance operational performance.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational practices.
- Prepare and present reports on terminal operations, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine terminal operations or logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of oil and gas industry regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in terminal management software and inventory tracking systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Certification in Hazardous Materials Management (preferred).
- Experience in project management and operational optimization is a plus.
