Kaitlin was my doula in August 2022 and she was absolutely amazing!! Cant recommend her enough. She was professional, competent, and had a wealth of background information on labor and birth that was much appreciated as this was my first baby. My labor was long and went through the night. Having Kaitlin there to run point with the doctors/nurses, help my husband to help me (ha), keep track in general of what was going on, and just be a source of comfort was indispensable. You wont regret choosing her!

Kaitlin was my doula for my first baby and I couldn’t imagine birthing without her! The pre-birth meetings were so helpful and informative. It helped me think through my birth preferences and helped my husband and me talk through how we would handle postpartum. In addition she gave us a lot of info on the birth process and what to expect. (So much so our childbirth class was mostly a repeat!) Due to a medical condition I was induced at 39 weeks and I was pretty nervous, but knowing Kaitlin would be there was a huge relief. During labor it would have been much more difficult without Kaitlin. She helped me get through contractions with hip squeezes and verbal encouragement. She also provided advice when asked for it (such as how long to wait to get an epidural). After I got the epidural she helped me with a peanut ball which I attribute to my baby being able to labor down and a shorter pushing time. I wouldn’t have known how to use the peanut ball without her. And bonus—she took photos of the birth that I will cherish forever. After the birth she stayed to help establish breastfeeding. It was hard to wait for baby to latch with the breast crawl but Kaitlin encouraged me and helped with initial latching. In addition she advocated for me (after asking if that’s what I wanted) by requesting the care team delay their tests until baby latched. I certainly couldn’t imagine my birth experience without Kaitlin. All of the preparation, support, encouragement, and advocacy was vital to me having a positive birth experience.

Kaitlin helped me and my husband prepare for the biggest day of our lives! We were so nervous and overwhelmed with all of the different sources of information, questions to ask, decisions to make about our birth journey. Kaitlin distilled the information down for us and helped us make the decisions that were right ofr our family, and when the day came, she helped us exhause our options, be thoughtful in our decision making, advocate for me as the patient, and ultimately land in the best place to ensure a safe arrival of our son. Kaitlin supported us every step of our journey and provided resources to address every single concern we had from training our dog to helping us adjust as a married couple to a new addition. We would absolutely use Kaitlin again!
