I have loved living in this complex for the 14 years I have been a resident. BET Investments bought the complex at the end of 2012 and since that time, things have been even better. The site management has always been very responsive, professional, kind and accommodating (a Huzzah! for Robin). The Maintenance Engineer gents have always addressed repair requests quickly and performed said repairs correctly the first time. They’re cool dudes. The grounds always look very nice as lawn maintenance is performed regularly and thoroughly. The addition of the pool has been a hit with residents and especially their kids. Parking is abundant and when snow arrives, crews work all night, if necessary, to clear lots and pathways. The walking path is a great resource and is maintained well. I’ve had around 10 different sets of upstairs neighbors over the years and all were nice, courteous and respectful (save one set who were vexing (pure luck of the draw) but fortunately did not stay long). All my other neighbors in the building are nice, quiet and, well, neighborly. Then there’s Newtown itself which is a gem. A charming town with a wealth of shopping and dining options (and the oldest continuously operating movie theater in the country – Big Lebowski showing on 7/31!) . Most everything one could require can be found right in the area. Tyler State Park is just over yonder and is chock full of walking/hiking trails (starting walks from the Covered Bridge lot is a good choice if one likes horses as all the local equestrians load/unload their horses there). I will greatly miss Newtown Place Apartments and Newtown itself. It’s been a great run. Definitely check it out if you’re a renter looking to move into the region..
