Job Brief
As a Wood Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending various woodworking machines, including lathes, drill presses, shapers, routers, sanders, and planers. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate woodworking machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
- Operate wood lathes and CNC equipment to shape, cut, and finish wood products according to specifications.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on woodworking machinery to ensure longevity and functionality.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project requirements.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, identifying defects and making corrections as necessary.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in woodworking or machine operation preferred.
- Proven experience as a Wood Lathe Operator or in a similar role within the woodworking industry.
- Strong understanding of woodworking machinery, including CNC equipment, and their operational procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints effectively.
