Job Brief
As a Wood Fence Installer, you will be responsible for erecting and repairing wooden fences and gates for residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in fence installation, strong knowledge of various fencing materials, and proficiency in using both hand and power tools. Attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and physical stamina are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Measure and layout fence lines according to project specifications.
- Install wooden fence panels, gates, and posts using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Excavate post holes and secure posts in concrete or other foundations.
- Perform repairs on existing fences, including replacing damaged boards and adjusting gates.
- Ensure all installations meet local building codes and regulations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on job sites.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in fencing or construction preferred.
- Proven experience as a fence installer or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of wood types, fencing materials, and installation techniques.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
