Job Brief
As a Window Washer, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of buildings by performing window washing and other heavy cleaning duties. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety practices. Ideal candidates will have experience in commercial cleaning and possess strong time management skills, ensuring properties remain in pristine condition.
Responsibilities
- Wash and clean windows, glass surfaces, and building exteriors using appropriate tools and cleaning solutions.
- Perform heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, and washing walls.
- Remove rubbish and debris to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Tend to furnace and boiler systems, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance activities and notify management of any repair needs.
- Clear snow and debris from sidewalks and entryways to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while using ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial window washing or similar cleaning roles.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques and materials, including safety data sheets.
- Ability to work at heights and use ladders or scaffolding safely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting and climbing.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on job location.
