Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in fire science or emergency management preferred.
  • Valid wildland firefighter certification (e.g., S-130, S-190) and CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Proven physical fitness and ability to meet rigorous physical demands of firefighting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with firefighting equipment, tools, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of local ecosystems and fire behavior is a plus.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
