Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented Wholesale Buyer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Purchase merchandise or commodities for wholesale and retail resale, ensuring alignment with market demand.
- Analyze past buying trends, sales records, and product quality to inform purchasing decisions.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Collaborate with sales personnel to introduce new products and improve inventory turnover.
- Authorize payment for merchandise according to contractual agreements and company policies.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new purchasing opportunities.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities and market conditions for management review.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier agreements to ensure compliance with company standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Wholesale Buyer or in a similar purchasing role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in evaluating market trends and sales data.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build relationships with suppliers.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
