Job Brief
The Well Servicing Rig Operator is responsible for operating specialized equipment to enhance oil production and perform well intervention services. This role requires a solid understanding of well servicing operations, with a focus on increasing oil flow, removing obstructions, and conducting fishing operations. Candidates should have experience in the oil and gas industry, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate well servicing rigs and associated equipment to facilitate oil extraction and well intervention activities.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on rig equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Conduct fishing operations to retrieve stuck pipe, casing, and tools from wells.
- Collaborate with other crew members to execute well servicing projects according to industry standards.
- Implement safety protocols and adhere to regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Document operations, maintain logs, and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Participate in training programs and safety meetings to enhance skills and knowledge of well servicing techniques.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications in oil and gas operations preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Rig Operator or in a related role within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of well servicing techniques, equipment operation, and safety practices.
- Ability to operate hydraulic and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in challenging environments.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
