Job Brief
As a Water Taxi Operator, you will be responsible for navigating small motor-driven boats to transport passengers safely and efficiently across designated waterways. This role requires strong knowledge of local waterways, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to assist in navigational activities. Ideal candidates will possess experience in boat operation and a passion for providing exceptional travel experiences on water.
Responsibilities
- Operate small motor-driven boats to ensure safe and timely transportation of passengers.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vessel to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in navigational activities, including route planning and monitoring weather conditions.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting passengers and addressing inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all maritime safety regulations and protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vessel at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to management promptly.
- Educate passengers on safety procedures and emergency protocols.
Requirements
- Valid boating license and certification as required by local regulations.
- Proven experience operating boats, preferably in a water taxi or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of local waterways, navigation rules, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
