Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Waste Treatment Operator to efficiently operate and control comprehensive water and wastewater treatment systems. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Control processes using control boards and automation systems to maintain proper treatment levels.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify malfunctions and ensure safety.
- Collect and analyze water samples to monitor treatment efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, minimizing environmental impact.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on industry best practices and technologies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in wastewater treatment preferred.
- Proven experience as a Waste Treatment Operator or similar role in the environmental services industry.
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring and control systems, including SCADA technology.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of treatment equipment.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for data collection and reporting.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and regulatory agencies.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
