Job Brief

The Warrant Clerk is responsible for performing essential clerical duties for courts of law, municipalities, or governmental agencies. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain dockets of cases to be called in court.
  • Secure and provide accurate information for judges and court personnel.
  • Draft agendas, bylaws, and other official documents for town or city councils.
  • Answer official correspondence and manage communication with the public.
  • Keep accurate fiscal records and accounts associated with court operations.
  • Issue licenses or permits in accordance with local regulations.
  • Record data, administer tests, and collect fees as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and statistical data for court operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in public administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in clerical or administrative roles, preferably within legal or governmental settings.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in using office software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
