Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our logistics and distribution processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating transportation, storage, and distribution activities in compliance with organizational policies and government regulations. With strong leadership and problem-solving skills, you will ensure optimal warehouse efficiency, manage team performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation scheduling and vendor management.
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff to enhance team performance and engagement.
- Analyze performance metrics and prepare reports to drive data-informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall organizational goals and initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and supply chain operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications such as APICS or Six Sigma are a plus.
