Job Brief
As a Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of goods in compliance with organizational policies and applicable government regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills and experience in logistics management to optimize inventory flow and enhance operational performance. You will be responsible for aligning warehouse activities with company objectives while maintaining safety standards and maximizing productivity.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation and distribution activities.
- Manage warehouse staff, providing training and guidance to ensure effective performance.
- Implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce overhead costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners.
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports related to warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics regulations.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports for decision-making.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus (e.g., APICS, ISM).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
