Job Brief
As a Vinyl Installer, you will be responsible for applying blocks, strips, or sheets of vinyl flooring materials to various surfaces, ensuring optimal adhesion and alignment. Responsibilities
- Measure and cut vinyl flooring materials to fit specific area requirements accurately.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or underlayment.
- Install vinyl flooring, ensuring proper alignment, smooth finish, and secure attachment.
- Inspect completed installations for quality assurance and make adjustments as needed.
- Provide recommendations for maintenance and care of vinyl flooring to clients.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project specifications and timelines.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and best practices in flooring installation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a vinyl installer or in a similar flooring installation role.
- Strong understanding of flooring installation techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in the construction and flooring industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle lifting and installation tasks.
- Certification in flooring installation or related field is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.
