Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Vinyl Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying blocks, strips, or sheets of vinyl flooring materials, including shock-absorbing and sound-deadening coverings. The Vinyl Flooring Installer should have experience in residential and commercial projects and possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring high-quality finishes. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare floor surfaces for vinyl installation, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
- Apply vinyl flooring materials, including sheets, tiles, and planks, with precision and care.
- Utilize appropriate adhesives and tools to secure flooring materials, following industry standards.
- Inspect completed installations for quality, addressing any imperfections or issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project timelines and progress.
- Provide recommendations for maintenance and care of installed vinyl flooring.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new products related to vinyl flooring installation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Vinyl Flooring Installer or in a similar role within the flooring industry.
- Strong understanding of flooring materials, installation techniques, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in flooring installation is a plus.
