Job Brief
The Vicar is responsible for conducting religious worship and performing spiritual functions aligned with the beliefs and practices of the faith community. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular worship services, including sermons, prayers, and sacraments.
- Provide spiritual and moral counseling to individuals and families.
- Lead community outreach programs and initiatives to engage members and the surrounding community.
- Facilitate educational programs, including Bible studies and confirmation classes.
- Perform rites of passage, such as baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
- Collaborate with church leaders and committees to promote church activities and events.
- Manage administrative duties related to parish operations and community services.
- Encourage volunteer participation and develop leadership within the congregation.
Requirements
- Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree from an accredited institution.
- Ordination or appropriate ecclesiastical endorsement to perform religious functions.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pastoral care or church leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proficient in using technology for communication and community engagement.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in theology and pastoral practice.
- Understanding of church governance and community service dynamics.
