Job Brief
As a Triage Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to ill, injured, or convalescing patients in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes. Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments to determine the severity of medical conditions.
- Evaluate patient symptoms and prioritize care based on triage protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Document patient information and care provided in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with registered nurses and physicians to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health issues and treatment options.
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Completion of an accredited LPN program.
- Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, preferably in triage.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
