Job Brief

The Training Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing organizational performance through effective training and development programs. This position is responsible for designing, conducting, and evaluating work-related training initiatives tailored to improve employees’ skills and boost overall productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and performance analysis, ensuring that training solutions align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs based on organizational needs and employee skill gaps.
  • Conduct training sessions using various delivery methods, including in-person workshops, e-learning, and webinars.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback surveys, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop customized solutions.
  • Develop training materials, including manuals, guides, and multimedia presentations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and new training technologies.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning environment.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to employees to support ongoing development and career advancement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Training Specialist or similar role in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training software.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance data to assess training effectiveness.
  • Certifications in training and development, such as CPTD or ATD, are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
