Job Brief
The Tool Sharpener is responsible for the precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, and grinding of various metal objects used in manufacturing and fabrication processes. Responsibilities

- Inspect and assess tools for wear and damage, determining appropriate sharpening techniques.
- Follow safety protocols and best practices to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Document sharpening processes and tool performance metrics for quality control.
- Collaborate with production teams to assess tool requirements and optimize tool usage.
- Continuously improve sharpening techniques and processes to enhance efficiency and tool performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tool Sharpener or similar role in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Strong understanding of tool sharpening techniques and metalworking principles.
- Proficient in operating sharpening machines, grinders, and hand tools.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise tool sharpening.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a workshop setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
