Job Brief
As a Tile Mason, you will apply various hard tile, stone, and comparable materials to walls, floors, ceilings, countertops, and roof decks. This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret blueprints and design specifications. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in tile installation, experience with different materials, and proficiency in using relevant tools and techniques to ensure high-quality finishes.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas accurately.
- Prepare surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and alignment of tiles.
- Install tiles on walls, floors, and other surfaces using appropriate adhesives and techniques.
- Grout and seal joints to achieve a smooth and durable finish.
- Inspect finished work for quality and alignment, making adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate with contractors and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices on job sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tile Mason or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of tile materials, tools, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Certification in tile installation or related field is a plus.
