- Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for tax assessments.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and adjust procedures accordingly.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive tax compliance.
- Assist in the collection of overdue taxes and handle taxpayer inquiries.
- Utilize tax software and analytical tools to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Tax Examiner or in a similar role within tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in work.
- Certification as a CPA or Enrolled Agent is a plus.
