Job Brief
The Surface Ship USW Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of tactical operations specialists engaged in anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and underwater surveillance operations. This leadership role requires extensive knowledge of surface ship operations, tactical procedures, and team management. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of tactical operations specialists, ensuring adherence to ASW protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate mission planning and execution for underwater surveillance and anti-submarine activities.
- Train and mentor team members on the use of tactical equipment and operational procedures.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team efficiency.
- Analyze operational data and provide recommendations for process improvements and tactical adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards during all missions.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate seamless integration of tactical operations.
- Prepare detailed reports on mission outcomes and operational readiness for senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in surface ship operations or related field.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills in a military or maritime environment.
- Strong knowledge of anti-submarine warfare tactics, equipment, and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions quickly.
- Familiarity with Navy systems and protocols, including ASW systems and sonar technologies.
- Relevant certifications in maritime operations or tactical management preferred.
- Willingness to work irregular hours and deploy as necessary for mission requirements.
