Job Brief
As a Supervisory Air Intercept Controller, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of tactical operations specialists, ensuring effective air traffic management and mission execution. Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the activities of tactical operations specialists engaged in air intercept missions.
- Coordinate real-time air traffic control operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations and military protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of team members, providing feedback and training as necessary.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in air intercept activities.
- Collaborate with other military units and agencies to optimize mission planning and execution.
- Utilize radar and communication systems to track and intercept airborne targets.
- Conduct regular briefings and debriefings to ensure all personnel are informed of mission objectives and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of air intercept operations for analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in air operations, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of air traffic control systems and air intercept protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and mentor team members.
- Familiarity with military communication and radar systems.
- Relevant certifications in air traffic control or air operations preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on mission objectives.
