Job Brief
The Sunday School Teacher Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the spiritual and educational development of children in a faith-based environment. Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe and positive environment for all students.
- Engage with students during lessons, providing support and encouragement as needed.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Help organize and participate in special events, such as holiday celebrations and outreach programs.
- Encourage student participation and foster a sense of community and belonging within the classroom.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment to facilitate effective learning.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in child development or theology is a plus.
- Experience working with children in a classroom or similar setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the lead teacher and other staff members.
- Familiarity with educational best practices and child development principles.
- Commitment to the values and mission of the faith community.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification may be required or preferred.
