Job Brief
The Sugar Presser role involves setting up, operating, and tending to various machines that shape and form sugar-based products. Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust machines for optimal production of sugar products, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Monitor machine operations and quality control to maintain product standards and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure longevity and reliability.
- Record production data, including output levels and quality metrics, for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance production efficiency.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in manufacturing or engineering preferred.
- Proven experience as a machine operator in a production environment, especially in food manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality control processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
