Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Operate sub arc welding equipment to join and fabricate metal components according to specifications.
- Perform flame-cutting, hand-soldering, and brazing tasks to ensure high-quality welds and joints.
- Inspect welds for quality assurance and adhere to safety standards throughout the welding process.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize welding processes and improve productivity.
- Document and report any defects or issues encountered during the welding operations.
- Participate in training and development to stay updated on the latest welding techniques and technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sub Arc Operator or similar role in the metal fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of hand-welding, flame-cutting, and brazing techniques.
- Familiarity with welding safety protocols and quality control practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Certification in welding or related field is preferred.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work in a demanding environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
