Job Brief
As a Stucco Worker, you will specialize in applying interior and exterior plaster, cement, stucco, or similar materials to various surfaces. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the aesthetic and functional qualities of buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience in stucco installation and repair, alongside a strong understanding of construction practices and safety regulations. Proficiency in setting ornamental plaster work is also preferred. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and effective communication skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for stucco application by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring proper adhesion.
- Mix and apply stucco, plaster, and cement materials to interior and exterior walls.
- Install plastering systems and decorative finishes that meet design specifications.
- Set and install ornamental plaster features, such as moldings and cornices.
- Monitor and maintain quality control during the stucco application process.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working on job sites.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing stucco surfaces.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Stucco Worker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of various stucco application techniques and materials.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for travel to job sites.
- Certification in OSHA safety training is a plus.
