Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team, responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of a variety of building structures and facilities, including roads, bridges, airports, and water systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural engineering principles, with a focus on innovative design and project management. Proficiency in relevant design software, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, is required to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural components and systems for various infrastructure projects.
- Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates based on project requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to achieve project objectives.
- Utilize engineering software for modeling, simulation, and analyzing structural integrity.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to support project development and regulatory approvals.
- Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to financial constraints.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and interns within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering and project management.
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000.
- Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and structural analysis techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
