Job Brief

Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer and employee activities within the store to detect suspicious behavior and prevent theft.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents of theft, fraud, and violations of store policies.
  • Compile and analyze data related to losses and theft incidents to develop effective prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and legal teams to provide evidence and support during investigations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, including witness statements and surveillance footage analysis.
  • Train and educate staff on loss prevention techniques and store policies to promote a secure shopping environment.
  • Implement and maintain surveillance systems to enhance store security.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory and security measures to ensure compliance with loss prevention protocols.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail security, loss prevention, or a related field.
  • Strong observational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with surveillance technology and loss prevention systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Certification in loss prevention or security (CPO, LPC, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to theft and fraud in retail settings.
