Responsibilities

- Collaborate with astrophysicists and other scientists on interdisciplinary projects.
- Utilize software tools for data analysis and simulation, including Python, MATLAB, or similar platforms.
- Stay current with advancements in astronomical research and technology.
- Mentor junior researchers and students in observational techniques and data interpretation.
- Contribute to grant proposals and funding applications to support ongoing research efforts.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Astronomy, Astrophysics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in observational astronomy and data analysis.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++ for data processing.
- Familiarity with astronomical software and databases, including VizieR or SIMBAD.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented research environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Publication record in reputable scientific journals is preferred.
