Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Steam Turbine Assembler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will construct, assemble, and rebuild steam turbines and related machinery for various industries, including construction, extraction, textiles, and paper manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with turbine assembly, a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Assemble and install steam turbines and associated components according to technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of assembled turbines to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues or machinery failures.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, materials used, and any modifications made during assembly.
- Utilize hand and power tools effectively to complete assembly tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes and product quality.
- Train and mentor junior assemblers in best practices for turbine assembly and safety measures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical assembly or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Steam Turbine Assembler or in a similar mechanical assembly position.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, including torque wrenches, drills, and measuring instruments.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality assembly standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations within manufacturing and assembly settings.
