Job Brief
As a Steam Plant Control Room Operator, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, regulating, and distributing steam and electricity within a power generation facility. Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage steam and electrical output to ensure efficient energy distribution.
- Operate and maintain control room equipment, including PLCs and SCADA systems.
- Respond to alarms and make real-time decisions to maintain safe operational conditions.
- Conduct regular inspections and performance assessments of plant systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Document operational logs and report any deviations or incidents to management.
- Implement safety protocols and adhere to environmental regulations.
- Assist in training new staff on control room operations and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a power plant or industrial control environment.
- Proficiency in control room operations and familiarity with steam generation processes.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while making critical decisions.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications, such as Power Plant Operator Certification, are a plus.
