Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Install stained glass in windows, skylights, and storefronts, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to design specifications.
- Repair and restore existing stained glass installations, maintaining historical accuracy and structural integrity.
- Collaborate with architects and designers to understand project requirements and provide technical input.
- Measure and cut glass accurately, utilizing tools such as glass cutters, grinders, and foiling equipment.
- Prepare and assemble frames and supports for glass installations, ensuring stability and durability.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards while working on scaffolding or ladders.
- Maintain inventory of materials and tools, including various types of glass and soldering equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and offering expert advice on design options.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a stained glass glazier or in a similar role within the glass installation industry.
- Strong understanding of glass types, techniques, and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise cutting and installation.
- Knowledge of safety standards for glass installation and repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in stained glass techniques is a plus.
