Job Brief
As a Stage Technician, you will play a vital role in the preparation and execution of live performances, events, and productions. This position requires a strong understanding of various stage equipment, sound and lighting systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with production teams to ensure seamless operations. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience in stage setups and a keen attention to detail, ensuring high-quality performance standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Set up and dismantle stage equipment, including lighting, sound, and rigging systems.
- Operate and maintain technical equipment during rehearsals and live events.
- Collaborate with directors and stage managers to execute production requirements.
- Monitor audio and visual elements to ensure optimal performance quality.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues during performances and rehearsals.
- Maintain an organized inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in pre-production meetings to discuss technical needs and logistics.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Stage Technician or in a similar role within the live event industry.
- Strong knowledge of lighting, sound, and staging equipment.
- Familiarity with audio/visual software and hardware.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Certification in stage management or technical theater is a plus.
