Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Sprinkler Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in assembling, installing, altering, and repairing pipelines and pipe systems that transport water, steam, air, or other liquids and gases. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining sprinkler systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Key skills include attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of relevant safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install sprinkler systems according to blueprints and specifications.
- Alter and repair existing pipelines and sprinkler systems to enhance functionality.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on installed systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors to design effective piping systems for various applications.
- Install heating and cooling equipment and mechanical control systems as required.
- Utilize hand and power tools to complete installation and repair tasks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to sprinkler fitting and piping systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Sprinkler Fitter or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of plumbing, piping systems, and safety codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools related to piping and sprinkler installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
