Job Brief
The Sports Book Board Attendant is responsible for facilitating a seamless wagering experience for patrons by posting information on various races and sporting events. This role requires a keen attention to detail and excellent customer service skills to assist patrons in placing bets, operating games such as keno and bingo, and managing the payout process for winning tickets. Responsibilities
- Post and update information on races and sporting events to assist patrons in making informed wagers.
- Operate keno and bingo games, including the use of random number-generating equipment.
- Announce game results and numbers clearly to ensure patron engagement.
- Receive, verify, and accurately record patrons’ wagers to maintain operational integrity.
- Scan and process winning tickets presented by patrons, ensuring prompt payout of winnings.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patron inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance the overall patron experience.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards within the gaming industry.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a sports book or gaming environment preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills for handling wagers and payouts accurately.
- Proficient in operating gaming software and equipment, with a focus on random number generation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with patrons.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of sports betting rules and regulations is highly desirable.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
