Job Brief

The Speedboat Operator is responsible for safely operating small motor-driven boats while ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for passengers. This role requires proficient navigation skills, attention to safety protocols, and a strong understanding of maritime regulations. Ideal candidates will possess significant experience in boat operation, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-centric attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Operate small motor-driven boats for various activities, including tours, fishing, and water sports.
  • Ensure the safety of passengers by adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assist in navigational activities using GPS and other navigational tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and upkeep of the speedboat to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing passenger inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly to ensure passenger safety.
  • Conduct pre-departure safety briefings for passengers.

Requirements

  • Valid operator’s license or relevant boating certification.
  • Proven experience as a speedboat operator or in a similar maritime role.
  • Strong knowledge of local waterways, navigation, and boating regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and handle emergencies calmly.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform boat handling tasks.
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
