Job Brief
As a Space Systems Operations Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the tactical operations of space systems, ensuring efficiency and safety in all operational activities. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of tactical operations specialists to ensure optimal performance in space systems management.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Monitor real-time space operations and respond to anomalies or emergencies effectively.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to team members on industry best practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve operational capabilities.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, detailing performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety guidelines in all operational activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Space Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in space operations or a related technical field.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing technical teams in a dynamic environment.
- Strong technical expertise in satellite systems, ground operations, and mission planning.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools used in space operations.
- Relevant certifications in space operations or project management are a plus.
