Job Brief
As a Sole Trimmer, you will operate and tend to various machines to join, decorate, reinforce, and finish shoes and shoe components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical skills, and experience in shoe manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of trimming techniques and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain trimming machines to ensure high-quality shoe production.
- Join, decorate, and finish shoe parts according to specifications and design requirements.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production workflows and achieve output targets.
- Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues to maintain operational efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment at all times.
- Keep accurate records of production output and machine maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in shoe manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Sole Trimmer or in a similar role within the footwear industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shoe manufacturing machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Basic math skills for measurement and quality control purposes.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials as required.
