Job Brief
As a Smokehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in the food processing industry by operating and tending to food or tobacco roasting, baking, and drying equipment. Responsibilities
- Operate roasting, baking, and drying equipment to process food or tobacco products efficiently.
- Monitor cooking and drying processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of all equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
- Adjust equipment settings based on product specifications and process requirements.
- Record production data, including temperatures, times, and weights, to ensure compliance with quality control measures.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production workflows and address any operational challenges.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation of raw materials and finished products.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food safety or processing preferred.
- Proven experience as a Smokehouse Worker or in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with food processing equipment, including kilns, ovens, and roasters.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict quality control measures.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
