Job Brief

As a Smokehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in the food processing industry by operating and tending to food or tobacco roasting, baking, and drying equipment. Responsibilities

  • Operate roasting, baking, and drying equipment to process food or tobacco products efficiently.
  • Monitor cooking and drying processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of all equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Adjust equipment settings based on product specifications and process requirements.
  • Record production data, including temperatures, times, and weights, to ensure compliance with quality control measures.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production workflows and address any operational challenges.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation of raw materials and finished products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food safety or processing preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Smokehouse Worker or in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with food processing equipment, including kilns, ovens, and roasters.
