Job Brief
As a Shoe Cementer, you will operate and tend to various machines to expertly join, decorate, reinforce, or finish shoes and shoe parts. This role requires a keen eye for detail and proficiency in using both manual and automated processes to ensure high-quality production standards. Ideal candidates will possess experience in footwear manufacturing and demonstrate a strong understanding of the materials and techniques used in the shoe construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery such as cementing machines and finishing equipment to assemble shoe components.
- Apply adhesives and bonding agents accurately to ensure strong and durable shoe construction.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure adherence to quality control standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and achieve output goals.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate inventory records of materials used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in shoe manufacturing or a related field, with a focus on cementing techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of various adhesive types and their applications in footwear production.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality footwear products.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
