Job Brief
As a Shock Absorption Floor Layer, you will be responsible for applying blocks, strips, or sheets of shock-absorbing, sound-deadening, or decorative coverings to various types of flooring surfaces. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of flooring installation techniques, materials, and tools, with prior experience in the construction or flooring industry. Responsibilities
- Measure and cut shock-absorbing materials to fit specific floor dimensions accurately.
- Install flooring materials such as rubber, foam, or vinyl sheets to achieve optimal sound and shock absorption.
- Ensure proper adhesion and alignment of flooring materials to prevent movement and damage.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and adhere to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, and clients to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Provide recommendations on suitable flooring materials based on specific project needs.
- Document work progress and report any issues or delays to project supervisors promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a flooring installer, specifically in shock absorption and sound-deadening applications.
- Familiarity with various flooring materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in flooring installation.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Certification in flooring installation is a plus.
