Job Brief
The Shirt Presser is responsible for pressing, shaping, and finishing garments to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities
- Operate pressing machines and hand tools to press shirts and other garments.
- Inspect finished clothing items for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet brand standards.
- Follow specific pressing techniques to achieve desired styles and finishes.
- Maintain equipment and workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of pressing tasks.
- Manage inventory of pressing supplies and notify management of any shortages.
- Perform routine maintenance on pressing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to production schedules and quality control processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a shirt presser or in a similar role within the garment industry.
- Knowledge of various fabric types and appropriate pressing techniques.
- Ability to operate industrial pressing machines and hand tools effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality results.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of garment care and maintenance.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in garment pressing are a plus.
