Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Rock Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plasterboard or other wallboard to ceilings and interior walls of buildings, ensuring high-quality finishes and soundproofing when necessary. Responsibilities
- Install plasterboard or wallboard to ceilings and interior walls in residential and commercial buildings.
- Apply acoustical tiles or shock-absorbing materials to reduce or reflect sound in various environments.
- Utilize hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and installing wall materials efficiently.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and regulations for safety and quality.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines.
- Prepare surfaces for wall installation by measuring, cutting, and fitting materials accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to best practices and safety protocols.
- Perform repairs and renovations on existing wall structures as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sheet Rock Installer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of installation techniques for various wall materials, including plasterboard, acoustical tiles, and lath.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in wall installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and building regulations.
- Completion of relevant training or certification in drywall installation preferred.
