Job Brief

As a Set Designer, you will play a crucial role in the visual storytelling of film, video, television, and theater productions. Your primary responsibilities will include designing special exhibits and sets that align with the director’s vision. Responsibilities

  • Design and create innovative set designs for various productions, including film, television, and theater.
  • Analyze scripts and engage in discussions with directors to understand the thematic and visual requirements of the project.
  • Conduct research on historical and contemporary architectural styles to inform design concepts.
  • Develop detailed sketches, models, and digital renderings to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Collaborate with production teams, including lighting, sound, and costume departments, to ensure cohesive visual storytelling.
  • Manage set construction, installation, and dismantling processes to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design capabilities and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Set Design, Theater Arts, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Set Designer or in a similar role within the film, television, or theater industry.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and design principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • A solid portfolio showcasing previous set design work and creative projects.
