Job Brief
As a Segmental Wall Installer, you will be responsible for the precise layout, cutting, and placement of segmental paving units. This role requires a strong knowledge of installation processes, including the use of bedding and restraining materials essential for creating durable and aesthetically pleasing structures. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience in hardscaping and be adept at following blueprints and project specifications to ensure quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Lay out and prepare materials for segmental wall installation according to project specifications.
- Cut and shape segmental paving units using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Install bedding materials and restraining systems to secure segmental units effectively.
- Ensure accurate alignment and leveling of segmental walls for optimal stability.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate project requirements and material needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines and budget constraints.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on installation equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Segmental Wall Installer or in a similar hardscaping role.
- Strong understanding of segmental wall systems and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with tools and machinery used in the installation of segmental paving units.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Certification in masonry or related fields is a plus.
