Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced Segmental Paving Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily activities of our construction team specializing in segmental paving projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and a solid understanding of construction methodologies. This role requires hands-on experience in paving installation and project management, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers engaged in segmental paving projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
- Develop project schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in segmental paving techniques and safety protocols.
- Communicate with project managers and clients regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
- Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed to complete paving projects efficiently.
- Resolve conflicts and address performance issues within the construction team promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Segmental Paving Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of segmental paving techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications in construction management or paving operations are a plus.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as project demands dictate.
