Job Brief
The Segmental Paver Installer is responsible for the precise layout, cutting, and placement of segmental paving units in various outdoor environments. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of materials and techniques used in paving installation. Ideal candidates will possess experience in hardscape projects, with proficiency in the installation of bedding and restraining materials, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal in completed work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the site by measuring and marking areas for segmental paving installation.
- Cut and shape segmental paving units to fit designated areas accurately.
- Install bedding materials and restraining edges to create a stable foundation for paving units.
- Ensure proper alignment and level of paving units for optimal drainage and surface quality.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to meet project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Segmental Paver Installer or in a related role within the landscaping or construction industry.
- Knowledge of various segmental paving materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- CPCS or equivalent certification in paving installation is a plus.
