Job Brief
The Screw Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to lathe and turning machines to produce precision parts from metal or plastic materials such as wire, rod, or bar stock. Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust screw machines to meet production specifications and achieve quality standards.
- Operate lathe and turning machines to turn, bore, thread, form, and face materials efficiently.
- Monitor machine operations and performance to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate production records and document any machine maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to optimize production processes.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a Screw Machine Operator or in a similar machining role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with CNC machines and manual lathes, including setup and operation.
- Knowledge of machining tools, techniques, and materials commonly used in the industry.
